What You Need to Know:

• The software company, Live2D has come out with a new module called "FaceRig". It allows the user to turn their 2D drawings into moving, 3D-like artwork. Specifically, it allows these drawings to be animated according to a person's facial expression.
• The module works by using 2D art, made in layers, and moving it in unison with facial features it tracks via recording hardware, such as webcams.
• The plan for the software now is to allow people to use live avatars in Skype video calls. That being said, it is not too hard to imagine this module being used in fullscale anime projects.

Second season of the Gate anime. Adapts Enryuu-hen, and Douran-hen arcs. In August of 20XX, a portal to a parallel world, known as the "Gate," suddenly appeared in Ginza, Tokyo. Monsters and troops poured out of the portal, turning the shopping district into a bloody inferno. The Japan Ground-Self Defence Force immediately took action and pushed the fantasy creatures back to the "Gate." To facilitate negotiations and prepare for future fights, the JGSDF dispatched the Third Reconnaissance Team to the "Special Region" at the other side of the Gate. Youji Itami, a JSDF officer as well as a 33-year-old otaku, was appointed as the leader of the Team. Amid attacks from enemy troops the team visited a variety of places and learnt a lot about the local culture and geography. Thanks to their efforts in humanitarian relief, although with some difficulties they were gradually able to reach out to the locals. They even had a cute elf, a sorceress and a demigoddess in their circle of new friends. On the other hand, the major powers outside the Gate such as the United States, China, and Russia were extremely interested in the abundant resources available in the Special Region. They began to exert diplomatic pressure over Japan. A suddenly appearing portal to an unknown world—to the major powers it may be no more than a mere asset for toppling the international order. But to our protagonists it is an invaluable opportunity to broaden knowledge, friendship, and ultimately their perspective towards the world. (Source: Baka-Tsuki)

• We can now let you know that the new season, which covers the Death Busters arc of the manga, will start airing in spring 2016!
• The art director, music composer and producer will remain the same, but this series will have Akira Takahashi (Suite Precure, Precure All Stars) in charge of character design and Chiaki Kon (Junjou Romantica, Bleach, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series) as director.

Synopsis

Satoru Fujinuma finally has his debut as a manga artist! However… nothing happened. He didn’t shoot to fame, he wasn’t awarded anything, he just lives day in and day out now. There is a phenomenon where you can turn back time to the instant before an accident or something bad happens. You could keep going back over and over until you could stop it. Synopsis

It all started 17 years ago in Africa. The American army was the first to catch an immortal also referred to as a “Solider of God.” In that moment, the existence of an “Ajin” was confirmed. No matter in what manner they were killed, disease, accident, etc. their bodies regenerate immediately in perfect health. This is the dream of humanity; full of endless possibilities. From that incident, 46 have been discovered worldwide and two are in Japan. However, they are rare in form, and it’s even harder to know what they are made of. So the theory held is “until we kill them multiple times, we don’t know enough about them.” Due to this, it is believed that there are more in the world. One day while walking home after school, high school student Kei Nagai is killed. However, he is immediately revived and completely unharmed. This would make Kei the 3rd Ajin to have been discovered in Japan. Kei now has to avoid the Ajin Management Bureau as they come after him. To further complicate things, there is now a bounty on his head. He gets help from his childhood friend Kaito and runs away to the mountains to hide. However, the police have deployed emergency forces to try and find him and they are closing in. Kei hatches a plot to run away again. One of the two Ajin in Japan named Takana but nicknamed “cap” had escaped from confinement and begins to implement a series of terror attacks. Tosaki, the head of The Ajin Management Bureau now has to find Kei and stop these terror attacks. He also has his eye on Kei’s younger sister, Eriko Nagai.
